GEO-GRID Geotextiles
GEO-GRID meshes are manufactured from high-quality fibreglass made of E-type glass and are initially impregnated with resin and then subsequently coated in modified asphalt. Do not require preliminary emulsion soaking. The weaving method allows the fibres to freely move against each other and thus the mesh can smoothly conform to the grains o the bituminous layer. Intended mainly for reinforcing bituminous surfaces, both in renovation and newly lain.

Application of GEO-GRID mesh
GEO-GRID meshes are fixed-ties grids used for reinforcing asphalt surfaces. Optimal mesh size ensures good binding of bituminous layers and weave type enables the fibres to freely move against each other and thus the mesh can smoothly conform to the grains o the bituminous layer.
Basic functions of GEO-GRID mesh
- preventing transfer of reflected and fatigue cracking,
- limiting rutting
- reinforcing bond between existing and new surfaces, e.g. in the case of broadening
- absorbing long-term strain, e.g. frost heave and thermal stress
- immediate layer diffusing stress
Application of GEO-GRID in civil engineering
- construction and repair of highest category roads subjected to heavy traffic, rutting and formation of reflected and fatigue cracking
- construction and repair of junctions, overpasses, bus island, squares etc.
- construction and repair of motorways, roads, streets of all traffic categories
- reinforcing airport runways
- reinforcing joints of old and new road surfaces when broadening
- repair o asphalt pavements
- partial repair of individual cracks and other failures
